Rebecca Grey is the owner and founder of The Grey Law Firm, PC.  Since graduating from Stanford Law School, Rebecca's 20 year career has focused on representing individuals who have been mistreated by their insurance companies.  Her professional passion is guided by the outrageous, abusive conduct many insurance companies inflict upon their own vulnerable and injured insureds.  She has extensive experience in litigation on behalf of clients in disputes with their insurers arising from employer-provided and private health, life, disability, and long-term care insurance. Rebecca manages her clients' pre-litigation negotiation, administrative appeals, pre-trial litigation, mediations, trial and appeals.

Prior to founding The Grey Law Firm in 2012, Rebecca was an associate and then a partner at Pillsbury & Levinson, LLP (now Pillsbury & Coleman) for 14 years.  Her firm is exclusively devoted to the representation of insurance policyholders whose life, disability, health and long term care claims have been wrongfully denied, whether governed by state insurance law or ERISA.

Rebecca has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the San Francisco Superior Court since 2012.  She has served on the clinical faculty of Stanford Law School’s Trial Advocacy Program since 2007.  She currently volunteers with the AIDS Legal Referral Panel Pro Bono attorney panel as well as the Employment Law Center-Legal Aid Society Worker's Rights Clinic.  Rebecca has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer several  years in a row.

Rebecca is a fifth generation San Franciscan, scuba diver, power weight lifter and a cancer survivor.  When she's not battling on behalf of her clients against multi-billion dollar corporate bullies, Rebecca likes to spend time with her husband and daughter, preferably anywhere in or near the water.

Nancy Dollar is an associate at the Grey Law Firm, PC. She advocates on behalf of clients facing wrongful denials, delays, or terminations of their insurance benefits on disability, health and long-term care policies. Nancy is committed to helping policyholders successfully resolve their claims, whether determined under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) or state insurance law.

During law school, Nancy provided pro bono legal services in the Boston area at the Guardianship Clinic of the Suffolk County Courthouse and Women’s Bar Foundation Elder Law Project. She spent a summer as a graduate fellow at the National Council on Aging in Washington, D.C., supporting the Benefits Access Group with incoming health insurance coverage and retirement benefit inquiries. Nancy broadened her exposure to health and long-term care issues during her externship with the AIDS Action Committee and clerkship at the boutique elder law firm Pabian & Russell, LLC.

Nancy’s work at the Grey Law Firm allows her to guide individuals through legal complexities in personal matters concerning their health and long-term well-being. Prior to joining the firm, Nancy advised clients on various federal tax planning matters as a senior associate at a national public accounting firm. She brings years of technical transactional experience to the role of challenging massive insurers that disregard rights of the insured.

Originally from Seattle, Nancy currently lives in Berkeley with her husband. Outside her practice at the Grey Law Firm, she serves as Treasurer on the board of DrivenData, Inc., a data science platform for nonprofit organizations.
